While driving an EV, it’s natural to worry about running out of juice mid-journey – a phenomenon commonly referred to as “range anxiety”. But fear not, for Tesla has made the travel experience a breeze, and with the proliferation of charging stations popping up all over the place, the EV lifestyle is getting better by the day. This blog serves as a source of inspiration for those looking to push their own EV boundaries, and we hope to offer you fresh ideas for your next travel destinations or even a brief weekend getaway. While we’ll occasionally touch on the topics of EVs and charging, we promise not to bog you down with technicalities like $/kWh, minutes spent at a charger, % SCO (State of Charge), and other such minutiae. Instead, we’ll focus on sharing our observations and experiences from our travels and highlight interesting destinations so that we’re seeking more than a supercharger.
About Us
A rooftop solar owner and EV driver since 2019, I’m a biologist, kayaker, birder, and photographer. I prefer open spaces, wildlife, and all things of the natural world. My wife is a foodie, enjoys finding a new restaurant, and prefers the vista from a comfortable hotel. We plan routes and destinations that we both enjoy
California has almost 300 amazing State and National Parks so these seem like wonderful destinations that could be the focus of our EV road trips. This blog has a focus on both EV travel and destinations that include California parks. We hope that this blog on our EV road trips provides you with information and inspires you to plan your own excursions. Join us in our adventures as we are seeking more than a supercharger!
