Range Anxiety, that’s how it started!
In January 2022 we transitioned from a Chevy Bolt EV and Hyundai Tucson to a 2022 Tesla Model Y. “Range anxiety” was not previously an issue because we had the gas car if needed for longer trips. We’re all-electric now so there is some range anxiety when we’re on a trip that is anywhere near our Model Y range of about 300 miles. We like to travel and it’s often said that facing your fears is the best way to overcome anxieties. So, we began with a few short trips and now we’re excited about finding destinations that are both interesting for us and show there are no range barriers for our EV travels.
California has almost 300 amazing State and National Parks so these seemed like wonderful destinations that could be the focus of our EV road trips. This blog has a focus on both EV travel and destinations that include California parks. We hope that this blog on our EV road trips provides you with information and inspires you to plan your own excursions.
